Mia Dearden (Speedy), Zatanna Zatarra, Mera, Dinah Lance (Black Canary), Kara Kent (Supergirl), and Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) are the women of the Justice League. Each has struggled with loss, with moral questions, and with trusting others. And, just like many women around the world in real life, they also had to balance the different roles they play in their lives. In addition to being heroes who risk their lives to use their talents in the fight against evil and corruption, these Justice League women are professionals, students, supportive wives, and dutiful daughters. Some of them resisted joining a team after spending so much time relying on themselves, yet they ultimately decided in each their own time to become a part of a new family.
SMALLVILLE WOMEN, BIG HEARTS continues to celebrate these women during Women’s History Month and asks that you consider donating to the charity, the GLOBAL FUND FOR WOMEN, on the behalf of the women of the Justice League. With one generous donation you can support actual women’s organizations worldwide that, like the Justice League, bring talented women together to be heroes locally, nationally, and internationally.
DONATE HERE. Thank you.
