DC Comic’s Justice League: Doom
An in-depth review of DC’s latest animated movie release. (Beware Spoilers)

I’ve been long anticipating this movie release since it was announced. Maybe I was a little more excited because they had the cast of JLU voicing the characters again, which got me a bit nostalgic, I won’t lie.
So without further a due, let me share with you what I think were the highs and lows of Justice League: Doom!
Moments that Caught my Attention
1. Superman punching Ace’s stomach into two for the opening fight sequence was funny and kick-ass at the same time.

2. Wonder woman inquiring about Batman’s health, while Batman snaps back with the Batman growl. Total LQ.

3. Alfred’s relentless sarcasm; especially about the chicken soup with made me smile. Oh that darn Alfred.

4. I realized that Wonder woman has the best fight scenes, wherein she faces one versus Cheetah and then Cyborg, even ripping his arm apart.

5. Martain Manhunter has non-stop burning scenes. He was burning for the longest time, he should’ve been dead in only a few minutes. It was awkward watching him burn that long it almost felt like it was funny (Even if it wasn’t supposed to be, initially)

6. Green Lantern cries here. He ACTUALLY cries here. (I will give my reaction to this later on…)

7. Bruce being buried alive with his parents and having to fight through the coffin with his hands compulsively bleeding.

8. Green Lantern creates a huge net (or shield) the size of a planet.

9. Batman’s breach of trust with the Justice League
The good and the bad:
As a fan of the JLU Animated series, it was actually a good watch. I enjoyed hearing the old cast strut their stuff again with the voices, it again, got me very nostalgic. There were a lot of moments that had me very excited, and a lot of moments that made me go: “Uh-huh…right.” The plot was okay, it reminded me of the whole Brother Eye arc where-in Batman profiled all the other superheroes in his Batcomputer and got it leaked.
So is it reboot related? I don’t think so. The only thing “reboot-related” about this was the fact that Cyborg was also part of the team, other than that, they stuck to the old DCU continuum; pretty incoherent with the comics, if you ask me.
The art wasn’t as good as I expected it to be, and although I think the fight scenes where exceptional, I believe Superman/Batman: Apocalypse was a lot better. This movie had a lot of good elements and the idea was really nice, however, I kinda feel like they had to speed up things a little too fast throughout the whole process of the story-line, the characters hardly executed their punch lines well because of the movie’s fast pace.
Overall:

Quotes
“I do keep hurting you, don’t I?” - Green Lantern (to Star Sapphire after rendering her unconscious)
“I could move the Earth out of the way…” -Superman
Wonder woman (after removing a dagger from Cyborgs back): Not much blood…
Cyborg: Not much back. (What?*)
